AMP President, Aamir Edresy’ s 12-day visit to GCC Countries very successful

Association of Muslim Professionals’ President, Mr. Aamir Edresy had a very successful visit of GCC Countries including Qatar, Kuwait and UAE from Tue, 1st May to Sat, 12th May 2018. Mr. Edresy addressed various meetings and attended programmes, all designed to take forward AMP’s mission of Nation Building through Education and Economic Empowerment of the Community and the Society.

AMP Qatar Chapter

Mr. Edresy visited Qatar between 1st – 3rd May, 2018. He addressed AMP Members & Senior Professionals regarding AMP’s Role in Nation Building and NRI's participation in Community Development. He also addressed a meeting with likeminded Social Organisations and NGOs, where the opportunity to network and collaboration was explored.

AMP Kuwait Chapter

His next stop was Kuwait from 4th – 6thMay 2018. In the presence of AMP President, Kuwait Chapter organised AMP’s first ever Overseas Job Fair, where 30 candidates were selected and around 200+ were shortlisted out of 1000 candidates who had turned up. There were 15 top-notch Corporates who had participated in this Job Fair. AMP Connect Event was the next engagement, where Mr. Edresy addressed AMP Members and Indian Community leaders in Kuwait. He also had a very fruitful meeting with Engineers Welfare Foundation where he gave an introductory presentation on AMP and explored areas of collaboration. This meeting was attended by more than 70 engineers of different streams and specific associations working together under the Federation of Engineers Welfare Foundation. Lastly, Kuwait Team also organised Mr. Edresy’s interview with Radio Kuwait for the benefit of the Indian Diaspora, which was aired on Thurs, 10th May in the entire Gulf region.

AMP UAE Chapter

The final stop was UAE, where Mr. Edresy was present from 7th – 12th May 2018, and again he had multiple engagements. There was a meeting for AMP Members and Indian Professionals, where he spoke about AMP’s role in Nation Building and the role of NRI’s in Community Development. He had a lot of personal meetings and one on one with Industry and Social leaders, notable among them were Mr. Mohammed Jassim Al Sager Chairman of Arab Council for Foreign Relations, Dr. P. A. Ibrahim, Co-Chairman of Malabar Gold and Diamonds and other similar personalities.

Another very important meeting he attended in UAE was the International Muslim Communities Congress (IMCC) in Abu Dhabi, where he got to interact with International Leaders of the Muslim Communities around the World.

Finally, Mr. Edresy left for India on Sat, 12th May after a hectic schedule. In his own words “The GCC visit was very busy & fruitful trip, thanks for the wonderful meetings and excellent hospitality extended by the Qatar, Kuwait & UAE AMP Teams. It felt like being at home with the family. It was pleasure meeting the old and new members of the team. I ‘am looking forward to increased action by the teams in the coming days for taking AMP mission of Nation Building forward.”
